Dad fell and hurt his left knee very early Monday morning (the left side got taken down by the stroke). It just kept hurting, and we had to watch him suffer in increasing pain all day. He had a doctor appointment today, but he was in too much pain to move. Mom was so desperate she was ready to call 911, but we tried friends, family, and the advice nurse at Mather, who DID tell her to call an ambulance. They were at the Roseville hospital from 10-2 last night, but Dad came home with a leg brace, a functional walker, and a prescription for more pain meds. He has a ligament or tendon strain, with a moderate strain taking 3-6 weeks to heal, and a severe one taking MONTHS to get better.
They keep telling me it’ll be ok and he’ll be better soon, but all I hear and see is how bad he was last night.
It’s one thing after another lately. First it was the car, then the water heater, and now my Dad suffering. What’s next? What crime did we commit to deserve this? I don’t want to be here right now.
