Batman Valentines Part 1: Incongruous Hearts
I know it’s way past Valentine’s Day, but I’m only getting around now to posting scans of my Bat-Valentines, bought at Denio’s fleamarket for 50 cents a box.
Want to see all the Bat-Valentines ever?

The valentines in this photoset are from 1994, and quite amusing in their own way. I’m posting them in increasing order of how romantic the characters make me feel. Pluses: Batgirl is here! Yay!
Minuses: Robin is only on the teacher card? Boo!
Aqua Finale
With this post, we wrap up “Aquaman’s Guide to the Oceans” before moving on to goofier things. There’s a penguin, a doofy super villain, and…wait, is that you, Wally? Yay! Where’ve you been, and when can we see you again? Oh man, he ran off before I heard the answer. Oh well. On an unrelated note, the “askthatdashingrogue” account for the DCAU Penguin is truly awesome. Subscribe now, it’s worth it. ;)
” ‘The Super Friends are too busy! They can’t stop me,’ he says.” There’s a Bat on the roof, and a team of heroes with God-like powers just finished dispersing your birds. Enjoy your remaining moments of consciousness, fat man.
“But Batman leaps into action. He stops the Penguins’s evil plan.” Check out that grin on Batman’s face. You’ve got to admire a man who enjoys his work. And even a nerfed Batman requires a change of underwear when he swings down to bust you. Next post, the victory lap!
Aqua Icons
Here’s some lil’ versions of pics from my series of Aquaman posts for your amusement.
Hey guys, remember those hilarious Zeller’s ads from the 80’s? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, links are below and in this page title. Warning: rubber faces and comedy ahoy!

Done laughing yet? No? Me neither. But wasn’t the art on those good? I always wanted to know who did them, and now I do. It was Ty “The Guy” Templeton, the underrated Canadian wonder, who helped make JLI and the DCAU comics so awesome. I love it when an internet mystery is solved.
“Hmmm. Batman spots a clue. It is a strange machine.” No, it’s a giant umbrella sitting on a rooftop, surrounded by birds.
“Batman takes a look. The noisy machine bothers the birds.” A crowd of angry birds guarding a machine would be major pain in a regular Batman book. How will Batman get past these sinister avians without being torn to shreds, and survive whatever booby-traps have been set?
“Now the birds are happy again. Inside, the Penguin robs a bank.” Batman just threw the on/off switch? That’s IT? Anticlimax, anyone? And those seagulls are *seriously* happy, like “uppers in the birdseed” happy. The final page in this set reveals our mystery villain, whose identity is a surprise to absolutely no one.
Yes, I’m devoting time and energy to heckling something no one over the age of 5 would be caught dead reading, and I have no life. Thanks for noticing. ;-_-;
